The History of the Wake Forest Veterans' Memorial

This monument was dedicated on Sunday, November 11, 2001 with more than 700 in attendance. Those that attended on that sunny afternoon came to demonstrate their support and appreciation honoring those from our community who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation.

The freedoms that we enjoy today would not be held were it not for the heroic efforts of the common man and woman, ordinary people who became extraordinary through their fight for our country.

We are committed to continue to maintain for our community a memorial to the valor, fidelity, and sacrifice of these individuals. We will continue to insure the integrity of this monument and with your help continue to remember.
