Veterans Memorial of Wake Forest, Inc.

Wake Forest Veterans who gave their lives defending our freedoms

The monument is composed of six panels of Dakota Mahogany granite flanked by the United States and North Carolina flags overlooking a beautiful lake at Heritage Wake Forest. The monument honors more than 300 veterans who died during these conflicts: The War Between the States, World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. The center panel features an inscription that honors these true American heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom.
Theirs the courage,

Theirs the sacrifice,

Ours the gratitude,

Ours the remembrance.

-- Edwin G. Wilson
